You would need to prepay to have a mold made this ranges from $9,000 and up, lead time can be 8 weeks or more.

We do not take orders for custom fitting placements or sizes unless bulk ordering, 100 or more of each tank per order.

Custom Water Tanks

We can make a custom tank however due to the cost of a mold ($8,500 and up) most customers needing only a few tanks find it better to use a tank we already manufacture.

We are not aware of the codes or rules. We are not aware of what tanks or items you need.

Ask your local Health Department to provide you with a list of water tank manufacturers that have the NSF logo built into the water tank.
Forward the documents and tank information provided on the Class A Customs website to your local health department before purchasing to be sure these tanks will pass your local inspection, this is your responsibility.

NO NSF Logo
Tanks no longer have the NSF logo molded into them due to changes NSF made regarding the use of the NSF logo. The NSF Company does not allow for end users to use the NSF logo unless each item has been inspected and a certification paid for each item, the material that all of our tanks are made from are still the same NSF Certified Material, adding this extra step of certification is an unnecessary step but generates revenues.

The NSF Company does not allow vendors/manufacturers to link to the NSF paperwork unless verified NSF products are being used, our company has been verified and therefore is allowed to link to the NSF Certified Materials on the NSF Website. If needed your inspector can check on this regarding our company and website as we have already provided this information to the NSF company and have been advised on how to correctly use/link to the certification information on our website.

All tanks have the part number molded into the tank, inspector can verify tank.

My health department doesn't care, they won't look... my builders said it is ok... I am just updating tanks.
We hear this and then get the call needing a different tank sent overnight to meet a deadline. It takes very little time to check before and saves you time and money. Forward the documents and tank information provided to your local health department before purchasing to be sure these tanks will pass your local inspection, this is your responsibility.

Why is there no NSF logo in the tank?

Class A Customs NSF Letter

Class A Customs was required to remove the NSF logo from all water tanks in June 2020, the tanks continue to be made from the same NSF Certified Materials, built in the same way, built on the same machines, and built in the same building here at Class A Customs. The NSF Company does not allow for end users of NSF Certified Materials to use the NSF logo unless each kind of item that is produced has a certification paid for each year. This would mean every style of tank we make, even though they are made using the same NSF Certified Materials, made in the same process, made on the same machine, we would need to pay to use the logo on each item every year.

All of Class A Customs Fresh/Gray water tanks are manufactured using DOW NSF International NSF/ANSI Std 61 approved Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) Resin Because Class A Customs was verified to used and continues to use NSF Certified Materials to build our tanks we are allow to link directly to the NSF website materials page and are allowed to state the tanks are made from NSF Certified Materials.

Can I get an NSF logo on my tank?

No. Customer say they will pay to have the logo in a tank however, this would require a mold change, an inspection fee for the specific tank and a yearly inspection fee due to the mold of the tank being changed.

Class A Customs Basic Plumbing Kit

This is for Fresh Water Systems Only - Not to be used for Gray or Waste Water Systems

Designed for Class A Customs Stock Fresh Water Tank set-up using a Fill Dish (fill dish not included)

This Kit does not fit a SPOUTED Water Tank

For the smaller tanks (5 gallon and 7 Gallon) the fittings are different than the other stock tanks, verify this will work for your set-up.

End user will need to verify this kit will work for installation, verify length of hose(s) needed, verify fittings needed.

Plumbing A Gray Water Tank

Gray Water Tanks are used to hold used water from handwashing sinks, dish sinks, and showers.

Black Water Tanks are used to hold Human Waste and/or used water from handwashing sinks, dish sinks, and showers.

Class A Customs Tanks that are white in color can be used for either Fresh or Gray Water use.

Class A Customs Tanks that are black in color can only be used for Waste or Gray Water use, do not use a black tank for fresh or drinking water.

If you want to place your tank directly under your sink or shower you can use a Uniseal Fitting to install a fitting directly where needed to allow the pipe to go into the tank.

Black Waste Tanks - 3” ABS Female Pipe - outlet can not be moved -
Gray Waste Tanks - 1.5" ABS Female Pipe - outlet can not be moved - smaller outlet this tank is for dirty water from shower, handwashing, dish-washing

The installed ABS outlet in Class A Customs water tanks uses a speciality adhesive and clamp for extra security.

It is highly recommended to get a tank with the correct ABS outlet size rather than trying to replace it. If you are needing to change out and ABS outlet you can seal it with and ABS/PVC adhesive and clamp, we do not have an adhesive we sell for this application.

Waste Water Tank Inlet & Vent

Class A Customs Black Water Tanks only come with the outlet fitting installed, the end user will determine where the inlet and vent will need to be placed and install.

Grommet (not food safe - waste tank use only) or Uniseal (food safe - fresh/gray/waste use) will secure inlet/vent pipe with no adhesives needed.

Use correct size hole saw bit (listed on item page) in order to drill a hole in the tank and place Grommet or Uniseal in hole, piping is then placed in fitting with no glues or adhesives necessary.

Do Not over-tighten fittings damage will occur.

Dump Valves are not connected directly to the Waste Tank ABS Outlet Fitting, the ABS Outlet Fittings are female fittings and the dump valves are also female fittings, they do not connect.

Use PVC or ABS pipe to connect to the 3" ABS Outlet Fitting installed on the waste tank, the dump valve is then connected to the pipe.

We do not sell glues, Examples Oatey 4-fl oz Green PVC/Abs Transition Cement

You will still need to vent the tank, this can be as easy as placing a fitting with a screen secured over it. Be aware that if you overfill the tank the excess water will exit the vent fitting, placing the vent fitting overflow to an outside location is recommended. Be sure to screen over the vent fitting overflow to prevent anything from entering the tank. Do not over-tighten fittings as damage will occur.

Tank Preparation Tanks are made in a warehouse light scratching, scuffs, or dust may be present on tanks and does not effect performance of tank. Sanitize each tank prior to use to remove any debris from the manufacturing process, wipe with a damp cloth to remove surface dust or scuffs.

Installation & Plumbing Have a certified technician install all parts to prevent product damage and personal injury.

Do Not over-tighten fitting damage will occur, use plastic connecting fittings as metal will damage threads.

With our threaded drain port you can connect a ball valve (Plastic Only) to our port and plumb a drain line so that you can drain in a way that works best for your application.

Built-in recessed carry handles. This is a huge improvement over others that use a rope. Ropes will fray after awhile and can cause splinters, pinching of hands and rope burns. Our ergonomic recessed built in design eliminates this.
