Breezy Multi-Speed Fan Upgrade - 12 volt Power - by classAcustoms






Breezy Multi-Speed 12 Volt Fan Upgrade by Class A Customs is an insert that is used to replace the fan or install a fan into a Standard 14" RV Roof Vent.

NO Interior Garnish Ring included, this is insert only

NO Vent included, this is insert only

Housing has Rounded Corners
DOES NOT fit Fantastic Brand, Super Vent, etc.
Fits Class A Customs 14", Heng's 14" and Ventline 14" RV Roof Vents Manufactured after 2016, it may fit various models -  end user will need to verify if unit will work for application.


**12 volt Power ONLY 110/115/220 volt such as in a house or generator will damage the unit**
12 volt Fan Motor
9" Fan Blade
1.8 amps of power required
DO NOT let the unit hang by wires as you will damage the unit.

Multi Speed Fan
High Velocity Air Fan System  over 300% more air flow movement
Multiple Speed Fan Knob: Off / Low / Medium / High
Do not overturn knob, damage to knob will occur if too much force is used


Reversible Air Flow Switch: In / Out

Removable Fine Mesh Screen included

Manual Crank Handle to open and close RV vent lid

Some models of vents will need to move the manual crank handle box that is on the units backside, view Installation Instructions

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
12 volt Power ONLY

TOOLS NEEDED:
Phillips Head Screwdriver
Wrench
Pliers
Scissors

1. Remove Inner Garnish Ring, Vent Handle and Screen (save screws to use again).
If your current vent has a fan you will need to remove the fan, motor and switch.

2. Align the Breezy Gear Box with the Vent Operator Shaft.
If unit does not align follow STEP A: Gear Box Adjustment Steps

3. Attach wire leads with wire nuts (NOTE: if upgrading a non-powered vent, provide power source of 12 volts DC power, using 18-gauge wire.)
DO NOT allow unit to hang by wiring.
WIRE LABELED “L” is POSITIVE and WIRE LABELED “N” is GROUND -- you can NOT switch wiring, doing so will damage circuit board

4. Place the Breezy Fan into vent frame and align the Gear Box onto the Operator Shaft.
Gently rotating the handle to seat the unit into place.

5. Secure the Breezy Fan into vent frame using two screws.

6. Reinsert Inner Garnish and secure with screws.

**** STEP A : Gear Box Adjustment Instructions
Remove both screws holding the Breezy Gear Box (save screws for later use).
On the back side of the Breezy move the Gear Box to the alternate position.
If Gear Box does not reach operator shaft, included spacer will be required.
Secure Gear Box with screws.

CAUTIONS

DO NOT allow unit to be exposed to rain, this will damage the circuit board and motor over time.
DO NOT place fan directly over stove cooking surface, deep fryer, or other appliances that use flame or intense heat.
DO NOT let the unit hang by wires as you will damage the unit.
DO NOT overturn knob, damage to knob will occur if too much force is used
WIRE LABELED “L” is POSITIVE and WIRE LABELED “N” is GROUND -- you can NOT switch wiring, doing so will damage circuit board

1. Remove the handle from the vent.



 2. Remove the screen from the vent.


 3. Locate the cross bar in the lid of the vent, there will be tabs on both the top and bottom of the bar you will need to flatten these down.




 Be sure to flatten the bottom ones as well.


 4. Locate the gears for the fan, you will need to remove the screws on the front side of the fan for the gear box to move.



5. After the screws have been removed you will pull the gear box out and simply move it to the bottom hole.
Remember to replace your screws.





6. Line the gear box and crank gear up, the gears should fit together easily.


 7. Don't forget to secure your vent with the screws provided into the outer rim of the Vortex II



8. Last attach the handle.
